About the project

Sudoku designed for paper

Printable Sudoku is a focused puzzle tool for people who would rather solve with a pencil than stare at another app. It creates clean, readable worksheets without requiring an account, a download, or a subscription.

Why this site exists

Many Sudoku pages are built primarily for on-screen play. That can be fun, but it often produces a poor printout: navigation appears on the page, grids are too small, answers are difficult to find, or several sheets of paper are wasted. Printable Sudoku takes the opposite approach. The printable page is the product.

You can choose an easy, medium, or hard puzzle, select one, two, or four grids per page, and decide whether to include a separate answer key. The layout supports both US Letter and A4 paper. Browser print preview also lets you save the finished sheet as a PDF.

How the puzzles are prepared

The generator begins with tested Sudoku templates that have complete solution grids. It then applies validity-preserving transformations, including digit remapping and safe row, column, band, and stack changes. These transformations create fresh-looking puzzle sheets while keeping every supplied solution consistent with its puzzle.

Difficulty labels are intended as practical guidance. Easy sheets provide more visible starting points, medium sheets require steadier candidate elimination, and hard sheets ask for longer chains of deduction. Personal experience varies, so a puzzle that feels comfortable to one solver may be challenging to another.

Editorial and advertising transparency

The puzzle instructions and guides on this site are written to help visitors use the tool and understand Sudoku. Advertising may support the site, but ads do not determine puzzle difficulty, change solutions, or replace the main content. Sponsored material, if introduced in the future, will be identified clearly.

We use Google Analytics to understand broad site usage and Google AdSense to support the service. Details about data, cookies, controls, and advertising partners are explained in our Privacy Policy.
